Priority 101 Series: Expanding Access to Art in Schools (OPEN TO ALL)

February 1, 2024 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

We’re thrilled to announce our 2024 Priority 101 series.  From our overarching themes of Arts and Community Culture; Law, Justice and Incarceration; and Housing and Hunger; the WaWF membership has selected one priority within each theme: Expanding Access to Art in Schools, Re-Entry Support, and Mental Health and Housing.

Join us on February 1st, 2024 via Zoom at 12:00PM for the first part of our deep dive on Expanding Access to Art in Schools. This panel will focus on the investments happening in the integration of arts in school settings and expanding access to arts for students in grades K-12. Panelists will educate us on the benefits of and barriers to arts education in WA state, as well as the impact of expanded access to arts in a K-12 school setting.

Join panelists Tina LaPadula of the Seattle Office of Arts & Culture, Tamar Krames of Arts WA, Rose Weagant, Commercial Art Instructor in the Okanogan School District, and Grace Washington, of Arts Impact to hear about the creative work happening in expanding access to art in schools!

Click here to register for Priority 101: Expanding Access to Art in Schools!

These events are free and open to the entire WaWF community, meaning they are open to all! We will record the panel discussions and share with those who register for viewing. For questions, please contact programs@wawomensfdn.org.
