MET: Seattle Japanese Garden + Dinner (MEMBERS + FRIENDS)

April 4 @ 3:00 pm - 6:30 pm

The Membership Experience Team (MET) will be inviting you to some special social and educational events this spring and summer. It will be a chance to finally have time to catch up with old friends and meet new ones in person! The goal of MET is to increase and maintain membership by engaging members in activities that are social, activities that explore and educate, and activities that highlight WaWF’s strategic plan and values. We hope that all members will feel a part of this committee, their work and share any ideas you have or can offer for activities to encourage participation.

Come out and enjoy a spring event with your fellow WaWF members on April 4th  at the Seattle Japanese Garden in Madison Park. The garden is having a free lecture on the history of the tea ceremony and we will follow the lecture with a no-host dinner at nearby Nishino Japanese restaurant at 5:45pm. Seattle may consider itself a long time coffee town, but the Japanese tea ceremony has been going on since the 9th century! Entrance is free at the garden all day on April 4th.

Plan to meet at 3:00pm at the entrance to walk around the garden before the lecture. The tea ceremony lecture is from 4:00pm-5:30pm and will be held in the community room. We have 5:45pm reservations for up to 8 people at Nishino’s located just across the street from the Garden. Parking is available at the Garden.

Registration has now closed – the event is full. Please email programs@wawomensfdn.org to be added to the waitlist.

Please direct questions to MET co-leader, Christine Atkins at christinetatkins1@gmail.com or 206-849-9802. This event is open to WaWF members and their guests!
