Leading Beyond the Tyranny of Productivity (MEMBERS ONLY)

March 26, 2024 @ 11:30 am - 1:30 pm

Many of our beliefs about work, identity, power, and leadership come from an outdated Industrial Age paradigm of productivity. How do we make—and sustain—a personal and professional shift away from toxic productivity, and toward sustainable, humane ways of living and working?

Our educational offerings are designed to deepen our knowledge of each year’s priorities and our collective understanding of how the world works. Our goal in offering this workshop to members is to continue reimagining new ways of working together, with our wider nonprofit community, now and in the future as we build WaWF culture. During our grant process we practice trust-based philanthropy, and we hope this learning opportunity will help us build trust as a community, working to cultivate a community of creativity and care.

In this two hour online workshop, Kris McRea of McRea Consulting and Coaching and Sara Saltee of The Saltee Academy trace today’s burnout and trauma to its roots in a paradigm of productivity that no longer matches the nature of most human work and offer a roadmap toward a healthier approach to productivity that values our humanity, emphasizing relationships, care and creativity.
