Melinda Herrin

Melinda Herrin joined the Foundation in 2017 and joined the Board of Directors in 2019.  She serves on the Member Engagement Committee and previously served on the Pooled Fund Grant Committee. Melinda is an owner and Associate Principal at Metrix Engineers in Renton, where she manages and designs mechanical systems in the K-12 market sector. Melinda graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington. She is involved in the Washington State Association for Learning Environments and has been a member of the Conference Logistics Committee for the past two years. Melinda resides in Seattle’s Queen Anne neighborhood. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her twins, playing lacrosse, watching Husky football, and cooking with her husband.  Melinda joined the WaWF transformation because she is inspired by the Foundation’s willingness to listen, learn, and adjust as needed to make the biggest impact in partnership with the local community.
