Position Title: Development Coordinator 

Position Type: Full-time, Exempt 

Position Pay Range: $60,000 – $70,000 Annual Salary 

Reports to: President & CEO  

Direct Reports: None 

Location: Seattle-Hybrid. We anticipate this position will need to be in our Seattle office a minimum of 2 days per week, as some critical aspects of this position can only be performed in the physical office.

Job Summary: The Development Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting our organization’s fundraising and membership efforts and overall development strategy. This role requires a combination of administrative, project management, and customer service skills. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, personable, and self-motivated. 

Position Duties: 

  • Donor Relations: Support the cultivation and stewardship of WaWF members and donors. Assist in the development of donor and member communication materials, such as appeal letters, renewal notifications, and thank-you notes. Support the Sr. Manager, Community Experience & Culture with donor recognition activities and events. Manage the Foundation information email and phone line.  
  • Database Management and Finance Reporting: Enter all contributions and other data as assigned into the Raiser’s Edge Database and maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring robust data integrity. Generate deposit allocation reports, monthly reconciliation reports, and other reports as needed for the Finance Department from the database. Assist during annual audit. 
  • Communication and Donor Reporting: Prepare regular reports on fundraising activities, donor engagement, and revenue projections. In collaboration with various colleagues, project manage and distribute on-going electronic and printed communications, including general website management, monthly e-newsletters, special announcements, event invitations, the Annual Report and WaWF Giving Guide. 
  • Board Liaison: Serve as a contact for the board of directors, coordinating all board meetings (virtual and in person), managing the meeting calendar and invitations, taking minutes for the board meetings and board committee meetings (Governance, Finance), and helping prepare all board and board committee meeting materials. Manage Board Dropbox account and access. 
  • Administrative Support: Provide exemplary administrative support to CEO, including assisting with scheduling meetings and helping craft correspondence.

  • Diplomatic. Able to work effectively with members, colleagues, and volunteers, all of whom may have different communication and work styles 
  • Collaborative: Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.  
  • Organized. Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a high capacity for attention to detail. 
  • Communicative. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Discreet. Able to hold executive, donor, foundation, and board information in the strictest confidence, as needed. 
  • Curious: Experience with or high interest in thoroughly learning The Raiser’s Edge & The Raiser’s Edge NXT, WordPress, and Canva.  
  • Knowledgeable. Previous experience in office management, development, hospitality, or related fields preferred.  
  • Proficient: Zoom, Microsoft Office 365.
