Nurturing Roots Volunteer Field Trip (MEMBERS +1)

Join the staff and community of Nurturing Roots farm to learn about their produce, perform some light volunteer work, and participate in a group activity like Herb Seasoning or Tea making.

Nurturing Roots, our 2021 Environment grantee, builds community through farming and heals community through relationships. The heart of their work is a 1/4-acre urban farm in South Beacon Hill, a richly diverse BIPOC community with limited access to healthy food choices. Nurturing Roots uses this land to address inequities: the food they grow feeds food insecure community members, and the urban farm improves their environmental surroundings.

We will gather at 1:00 PM at Nurturing Roots Farm, located on South Beacon Hill at 6218 Beacon Ave S. Parking information and directions will be sent in a following email.

This event is a Members + 1 event, meaning it is only open to WaWF members and a guest.  Please note, this volunteer trip is outside. Questions? Email programs@wawomensfdn.org.
