Member 2 Member: Rhoda Altom on Leadership (MEMBERS + FRIENDS)

May 30 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

The WaWF collective is a wealth of knowledge, experience, perspective, and expertise. We’re excited to unveil a new Member focused series: Member 2 Member, where members are invited to nominate their fellow members to present on a subject with which they hold special proficiency or expertise.

Join us Thursday, May 30th, at 3:ooPM to hear from one of WaWF’s founders and longtime champions, Rhoda Altom, on her life’s work of leadership and the origins of the Washington Women’s Foundation.

Rhoda L. Altom is president of Milestone Properties, a real estate investment firm, and a community activist in the Puget Sound area. In 1980, she became the first woman to graduate from WSU’s construction management program. In 1989, she founded Milestone Properties Inc., which specializes in the acquisition and management of commercial, retail, and apartment properties in the Puget Sound area. She serves on the boards of WSU College of Engineering Advisory Board and The Frye Museum. She is a founder and trustee of several philanthropic associations, including the National Park Foundation’s National Council, Washington Women’s Foundation, YWCA Endowment Guild, Pediatric Brain Tumor Research Fund, and PBTRF Guild at Children’s Hospital. Ms. Altom holds a BS degree in Engineering and Construction Management from Washington State University and an Executive Masters in Business Administration from the University of Washington.
