School to Prison Pipeline 101 (MEMBERS+1)

April 5, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
Virtual Event
Free

Join us for the first part of our deep dive on the School to Prison Pipeline, one of our 2022 Learning & Funding Priorities. This education program will focus on defining the School to Prison Pipeline, and understanding its history, contributors, and systems. We’ll learn about how the education system mimics the criminal justice system and how the juvenile justice system impacts the education of young people.

Porsche Phelps of TeamChild, Marshaun Barber of Reclaiming our Greatness, and Kendrick Washington of the ACLU-WA will join us for this panel discussion, moderated by Maria Kolby-Wolfe, President & CEO of Washington Women’s Foundation (WaWF).

This event is a free, Members + 1 event, meaning it is only open to WaWF members and a guest. To register for you and a guest, please select the ‘Member + 1 RSVP’  option and add 2 tickets at checkout: one for you, one for your guest. We will record the panel discussion and share with our membership for viewing. For questions, please contact programs@wawomensfdn.org.
