The PopUP! for Women and Girls will give you a taste of the collective giving experience at Washington Women’s Foundation (WaWF) in just a few hours! All are invited to learn about the issues and select our new grantees. If you’re curious about grantmaking and dedicated to supporting women & girls, join us for a hands-on evening of connection and impact. 

No collective giving experience? No worries! This fast-paced and fun evening will be guided by the Women & Girls Grant Committee and WaWF staff. There will also be an opportunity to contribute to the WFA Fund for Women in order to support future grantmaking.    

At WaWF, one of our cherished values is to elevate and amplify the power of all who identify as women. Supported by the WFA Fund for Women, we offer the Women & Girls Grant to organizations focused on women and girls within the year’s chosen priorities: Community Cultural Preservation, Mental Health & Housing, and the School to Prison Pipeline. The PopUP! is the culmination of the work of the Women & Girls Grant Committee.  

Our working definition of gender identity is a person’s internal, deeply held sense of their gender. As such, we define women and girls as individuals whose gender identity is as a woman or girl. For the Women & Girls grant program, we intend to fund with an intersectional lens and aim to support organizations that foster more equitable opportunities for women and girls.   

This event is in person at the National Nordic Museum at 2655 NW Market St in Seattle, WA from 5:00 to 7:15 PM on Tuesday, December 6th. Everyone is welcome. Tickets are $50 each. Festive drinks and heavy appetizers are included with ticket purchase.  

COVID-19 vaccines are required and vaccine cards will be checked upon entry. Masks aren’t required, but are strongly encouraged (subject to change based on Washington State guidelines and regulations). We will update you on any changes in COVID-19 protocol closer to the event. 

Parking is located first-come, first-serve in the National Nordic Museum’s lot (behind the museum) for $2 an hour – considering carpooling or taking public transportation! Please direct questions to programs@wawomensfdn.org.
