In addition to the regular collection of bonsai, this year there is an additional exhibit to enjoy! There are six, magical, tiny treehouses built into the branches of dearly departed bonsai trees,  on view in our newest special exhibition, Building Wonder: Bonsai Treehouses by Dave Creek. Each treehouse is a masterpiece of patience and wonder organically designed and crafted by Dave Creek, the late beloved Bob’s Burgers animation artist. Five of the six treehouses belong to Dave Creek’s Traveling Treehouses, a non-profit organization founded to honor Creek’s legacy. Previously the treehouses were shared only in children’s hospitals, where they sparked joy and imagination, but this year,  Pacific Bonsai Museum is proud to bring these extraordinary miniature treehouses to YOU and everyone to enjoy.
