Member Town Hall: Growing Our Membership (MEMBERS ONLY)
February 21, 2023 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Presenting our new(ish) Membership structure!
Membership is at the heart of Washington Women’s Foundation. As members, you make up our collective. You fund our grants, our programs and our operations. You, our members, are our everything!
All of us work to retain our current members, even while we look for ways to expand our membership base. In support of that effort, for the past year your Membership Task Force (MTF) has been working on these questions: What could we do to make our membership more inclusive? How can we be sure to keep our current members happy? How can we bring in new members?
To answer these questions, the MTF researched ideas from other women’s collective giving groups around the country, conducted membership surveys to hear from you, and eventually developed a membership recruitment and retention strategy you can truly be proud of!
Last month the MTF presented their recommendations to your Board of Directors, who enthusiastically approved the plan. Then they presented it to your Cabinet, and those committee leaders all loved the new(ish) structure, too.
Which means it’s finally ready to show off to you – and we can’t wait to hear what you think!
We do want you to know right away that your classic membership contribution of $2,500 has not changed! With that important first question out of the way, join us on February 21st and get all the rest of your questions answered!
Panelists:
Kris Kaminishi, Washington Women’s Foundation Board President
