Building Relationships, Extending Networks
We believe our relationship with our grantees extends beyond funding. At the heart of our Grantee Support Program is our Grantee Engagement Team (GET), a group of WaWF members dedicated to building meaningful, trust-based partnerships with grantee organizations.
Should you become a WaWF grantee, GET can serve as a connector, resource, thought partner, and advocate as you pursue your mission.

How We Can Support You
Should you choose to participate, you’ll be paired with a dedicated team that will connect with you during your time as a grantee. Our efforts are focused on relationship-building, not evaluation, and are guided by your priorities, your needs, and by opportunities we can find together for WaWF to further support you.
We can help share your work, events, opportunities, and accomplishments with the Washington Women’s Foundation community.

We’ll help point you toward resources that may be useful for your organization.
One of GET’s most popular offerings is short-term, skills-based volunteer support. Through this program, WaWF members volunteer their professional expertise to assist grantees with clearly defined, short-term projects.
Examples include:
- Developing a fundraising plan
- Strengthening board recruitment practices
- Reviewing organizational processes
- Marketing and communications coaching
- Strategic planning support
- Resource mapping and networking guidance
WaWF volunteers offer experience in areas including finance, fundraising, board development, organizational development, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, program & operations management, marketing & communications, strategic planning, networking & relationship building, and legal resources & referrals.
To ensure expectations are clear, GET does not provide:
- Additional grant funding from Washington Women’s Foundation
- Direct solicitation of donations for grantee organizations
- Placement or hiring of professional service providersLegal advice
