BECOME A MONTHLY DONOR
Invest in the power of collective giving — every month!
At Washington Women’s Foundation, we believe in the transformative power of women coming together to drive meaningful change. Our collective giving model amplifies their contributions into powerful investments in community-led solutions.
But to sustain this momentum, we need consistent support.
Why a Recurring Gift Matters:
- Stability equals bold action: monthly gifts provide a reliable foundation that allows WaWF to plan strategically, respond swiftly to emerging needs, and fund innovative initiatives with confidence.
- Deepen our impact: recurring donors fuel our gender & equity-focused work — ensuring we don’t just give…but continue to grow our giving capacity.
- Simplicity with purpose: set it once, and your commitment continues to empower women and communities’ month after month.
Whether it’s $10 or $100, your recurring gift strengthens our collective voice and ensures we remain a force for change in Washington State. Click here to get started!
DOES YOUR EMPLOYER MATCH?
Double the impact of your gift!
Do you know if your employer matches donations? Or matches volunteer hours?
Mostly likely they do, as 65% of Fortune 500 companies and 51% of Russell 1,000 public companies have matching gift programs for their employees…
Yet a significant portion of potential charitable matching dollars goes unclaimed.
Here’s how to unlock this potential:
- Search your employer here for free on Charity Navigator
- Apply online or ask your human resource department for help
Please note that the matching dollars will be allocated to the same purposes as the original gift. Here is a link to our Gift Acceptance Policy for more details.

Become a Sponsor
Thanks to these sponsors who partner with purpose!
At Washington Women’s Foundation (WaWF), we don’t just fund change — we ignite it.
Through collective philanthropy, we empower women to lead and invest in equity-
focused solutions that strengthen communities across Washington State.
Why year-round?
Elevate your brand with value-driven visibility
Align your company with a respected philanthropic leader. Our sponsors are recognized
throughout the year at events, in publications, and across digital platforms — reaching a
powerful network of civic-minded women, nonprofit leaders, and changemakers.
Demonstrate your commitment to equity and community
Support initiatives that advance racial and gender equity, fund grassroots innovation,
and build leadership capacity. Your sponsorship shows you’re not just in business —
you’re in the business of doing good.
Engage with a network of influential women
WaWF members are decision-makers, entrepreneurs, executives, and community
leaders. Sponsorship opens doors to meaningful connections, thought leadership
opportunities, and collaborative impact.
Drive long-term impact, not just one-time exposure
Year-round sponsorship means sustained engagement. From our annual grant awards
to educational forums and member events, your support helps us plan boldly and act
decisively — with your brand alongside us every step of the way.
Let’s build something powerful together!

Leave a Legacy
Create a legacy by including Washington Women’s Foundation (WaWF) in your estate
planning. This is an effective and easy way to partner with us in our mission and
increase our impact.
Rollover Your IRA
An IRA charitable rollover (also known as a Qualified Charitable Distributions, QCD) is a
way to support Washington Women’s Foundation while you also benefit financially. This
is a direct tax-free transfer of funds from your IRA to a public charity, allowing larger
charitable gifts than a traditional cash donation, especially for non-itemizers. You are
eligible if you are 70½ or older.
Benefits:
- Avoid taxes on transfers of up to $100,000, or $200,000 for a couple, from your IRA to our organization
- Satisfy your required minimum distribution for the year
- Reduce your taxable income, even if you do not itemize deductions
- Make a gift that is not subject to the deduction limits on charitable gifts
How it Works:
- Contact your IRA plan administrator to make a gift from your IRA
- Your IRA funds will be directly transferred to our organization
- Please note that traditional IRA gifts do not qualify for the charitable rollover benefits
- Please contact us if you wish for your gift to be used for something specific
We encourage you to consult with your financial advisor for advice regarding your
specific circumstances and to determine what is best for you. Contact us if you have
any questions at kim@wawomensfdn.org or (206) 844-2177.
Make Us a Beneficiary
One effective way to include Washington Women’s Foundation (WaWF) in your estate
planning is through bequests. No matter your income, a will allows you to easily direct
the dispersal of your estate as you wish.
Here are some examples to consider:
- Direct a specific bequest of money or asset (e.g. stock, a house, etc.)
- Assign a percentage of the total value of your estate
- Designate a residual bequest that directs WaWF to receive the remainder, or portion of the remainder, of the estate, after all expenses and other bequests have been made.
- Name WaWF as a beneficiary
If you have a life insurance policy that is no longer needed to provide dependents,
consider naming us as the beneficiary.
Some assets, such as IRAs and other qualified retirement plans, do not pass directly
through your will and require you to name a beneficiary. In these cases, you can also
name WaWF as a beneficiary of a Certificate of Deposit (CD). These plans can be good
choices for charitable giving because they tend to be taxed more heavily than other
assets, sometimes greater than 50 percent. However, by making us the beneficiary, the
full value of the account will pass to WaWF.
Let us know if you have already made a gift to Washington Women’s Foundation
through your estate or would like more information about legacy gifts by contacting Kim
at kim@wawomensfdn.org or (206) 844-2177.
