Campaign Description

At Washington Women’s Foundation (WaWF), we believe that when we come together,
we spark something bigger than the sum of our parts. This season, we invite you to
Ignite the WE! It’s a rallying cry to fuel our shared commitment to equity, generosity, and
collective impact.

“Ignite the WE!” is more than a theme — it’s a movement. It celebrates:

  • The spark of individual generosity that lights the way for collective action.
  • The warmth of community that sustains us through challenge and change.
  • The fire of equity-centered giving that drives bold solutions and lasting change.

As we close the year, we’re calling on every member, donor, and partner to help us fan
the flames of possibility by raising $180,000 by December 31st.

Whether it’s a first-time gift or a renewed commitment, your contribution helps ignite a future where all women and communities thrive.

Engage on Social Media

Help Washington Women’s Foundation boost our visibility by amplifying our social
media posts and spreading our message across platforms.

Feel like a newbie on social media? We’ve got you covered by providing tips and tricks
to participate in this year’s yearend campaign.

1. Lead with Heart + Personal Experience

  • Share why you support #WaWF and what “Ignite the WE!” means to you.
  • Use personal stories, reflections, or moments of inspiration from your time with Washington Women’s Foundation
  • Example: “I give because I believe in the power of women-led change. Let’s #IgniteTheWE and build a more equitable Washington — together. www.wawomensfdn.org/ignite.”

2. Use Visuals That Spark

  • Post a photo of yourself in action: at a WaWF event, volunteering, or simply holding a sign that says “Ignite the WE!”
  • Use campaign graphics or branded templates to keep the look cohesive.
  • Use 🔥 emojis or bold colors to catch attention.

3. Make the Ask — Clearly and Confidently

  • Don’t be shy about inviting your network to give. People are more likely to donate when asked directly by someone they trust.
  • Sample post: “Being part of Washington Women’s Foundation inspires me every day. If you believe in equity and collective action, join me—give today to #IgniteTheWE: www.wawomensfdn.org/ignite“
  • Sample board member post: “I’m proud to serve on the board of @WaWomensFdn. Join me in fueling equity and collective power — give today and help us #IgniteTheWE www.wawomensfdn.org/ignite“

4. Tag, Hashtag, and Link

  • Always tag @WaWomensFdn (on LinkedIn, Instagram, or Facebook)
  • Use the campaign hashtag: #IgniteTheWE or #WaWF
  • Include the donation link or campaign landing page in your post or bio: www.wawomensfdn.org/ignite

5. Engage + Amplify

  • Like, comment on, and share posts from WaWF and fellow members.
  • Repost campaign updates, donor spotlights, or impact stories with a personal note.
  • Thank or highlight donors publicly (with permission) to build momentum.

6. Post Variety and With Frequency

  • Aim for 2–3 posts during the campaign (launch, midpoint, final push).
  • Use different formats: a heartfelt post, a short video, a story or reel, or a carousel of impact stats.
